New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1929. Hardcover. Very Good/Very Good. First edition. A bookplate on the front pastedown, clipping on the front fly, and light soiling to the cloth, a very good copy in an about very good dustwrapper with some small chips on the front panel and other light wear. Wild romantic comedy about a girl-shy English Lord who gets drunk, kidnaps a bunch of his leisure-loving friends, sails around, eats a lot of eggs (the only food packed for the voyage), and finally works as an elephant's waterboy for a shipwrecked circus on an Australian Barrier Island where he falls for a beautiful bareback rider. Then the novel begins. Very scarce in jacket. (Inventory #: 96340)
