Bound in maroon cloth with titles and ornate borders in gilt on front board and spine. Four plates with eight stills from the 1927 French film. Square and solid with mildly toning interior page edges. Mild edge-wear. Spine starting to split at the crown but holding. Spine a bit dulled. One contemporary and one modern ownership inscription on two preliminary pages. Very pretty unclipped, though unpriced, dust-jacket, has some fairly mild rubbing to hinges and edges. A few pieces of likely unnecessary reinforcing tape on reverse and invisible from the front. Still quite bright and colorful with no creases, chipping or tears. A sharp collectable copy of a delicate book. (Hubin p.32).
