A delightful collection of recipes compiled by the volunteers at the New York City Women's Council of the Navy League, a non-profit "citizen-led military support organization founded in 1902 organization to support the sea services-U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S.-flag Merchant Marines." They currently maintain a website that describes their work. Many of the recipes appear with author names, an advertisement from Bonwit Teller on page 79.
