This publication contains the listings of the 272 paintings which were distributed at the 1847 annual meeting AND to whom each painting went, and the city that the individual lived in. Also contains a complete listing of paid members, honorary secretaries, and the annual report of the Union. Includes two small engravings, one after Huntington's painting "Mary Signing The Death Warrant of Lady Jane Gray" and the other showing the obverse and reverse of the Allston Medal of the American Art Union. Rare.This copy ALSO contains a small engraving of "Youth" from Cole's "Voyage of Life" series, and aplate showing the obverse and reverse of the Stuart Medal. These two engravings are not present in all editions of this publication. Not found in OCLC.
