S. l. (New York [?]): Singer Sewing Machine Co., 1928. Very good. First edition thus (several different booklets under the same name were published between 1900 and the 1928), n. d. (ca 1928); 5 1/2 x 3; pp. [8]; lithographed wraps; illustrated with drawings, each one covered with tracing paper; thin, closed splits to tips of spine; slight pink offsetting to wraps verso; mild age-toning to margins; overall in very good condition.Demonstrating remarkable wisdom in their advertising materials, with their booklet Singer not only addressed children in general (presenting their Singer "20" for the little girl), but specifically "young artists," who were to trace and then attempt to recreate each drawing themselves. Comparison between this copy and a digitized one at an institution showed that, possibly, each booklet contained different illustrations (to be collected all [?]), but at least one was always a Singer sewing machine. Lastly, the front wrap verso loudly proclaimed: "Let Us Send You a Singer Machine for Free Trial!"
