Jacques Verges was a Siamese-born French lawyer, writer, and political activist best known for his defense of FLN militants during the Algerian War of Independence. During World War II, he fought in the anti-Nazi resistance and later served as a defense lawyer for Klaus Barbie, Carlos the Jackal, and leaders of the Khmer Rouge. An attractive, unopened copy.
