"The path connected our house to Green Leaves Day Nursery. For five years, I followed this path with my son. When it allowed, I walked along it with excitement, with my camera on my shoulder. Season by season, it looked different. On sunny days or in the rain, in the snow or at sunset, I would always encounter a different event. I could not help recording interesting ones. My son grows up, and no scenery, no plants or animals remain the same. I would like to keep the changes in memory, to cherish them. And it is this same desire that gives birth to my photography." (Yamamoto).
