Uncorrected proof copy of the first edition, with suppressed text intact [contains the chapter "A Flood in the Office," which was eventually suppressed from the trade edition due to threats of libel (see *Kirkpatrick* A18a]. Thin wrappers have a thin, 2" chip at upper foreedge, 1" tear at lower edge with small archival mend on verso, and the half-title page has triangular chip at lower fore-corner, else a very good copy of a fragile item.
