A World War II era ephemeral placard printed for the Jazz promoter Milt Gabler, credited for booking several of “the first informal jazz concerts in New York City” [*Hoffman*, Encyclopedia of Recorded Sound, Vol. 1, p. 221]. This announcement for performances at Jimmy Ryan’s Club lists many of the same performers noted on other promotional placards from 1944-45, thus our attribution of the date.
