A complete set of catalogues documenting the Bicentennial project originated by the Corcoran Gallery of Art. The participating artists, each shown separately, two at a time in four stages throughout the year 1976 included Lewis Baltz, Joe Cameron, Robert Cumming, Roy DeCarava, Lee Friedlander, John Gossage, Jan Grover and Anthony Hernandez. Each photographer spent at least a month in Washington D.C. during 1975-76 to photograph the city, environs and people.
