Vignette of Ceres in gilt on upper board. Fascia of wheat on spine. Joints fraying and tender. Spine ends a bit frayed. Foxed variably throughout. Better than good.

Remarkable for the 47 hand-colored plates of insects by the author's son, Ebenezer Emmons Jr. (Inventory #: 6579)
