"A look at the Viet-nam War by a woman hometown newspaper editor." According to the introduction Fresno native, Annette "Nettie" Brown, had a decades long career in journalism which included "two weeklies." She won numerous awards for her work including a Matrix Award of the Los Angeles Press Association "for her coverage of the Imperial Valley farm labor troubles" in 1961 and the first Jeanne Hoffman Unique Coverage Award of the Los Angeles Professional chapter of Theta Sigma Phi.
