First edition published in the US (originally released in 1910 in Lviv); 8 1/2 x 5 1/2; pp. [1], 4-32; olived wraps, printed in black and ruled with an elaborate border; illustrated with small vignettes at the beginning and the end of the book; edges a bit brittle, with a few small nicks and minor loss to tips of spine; foxing to margins of wraps and title page; a small, previous owner's label to ack wrap; in good condition.Viacheslav Budzynovskyi, pseudonym Nedolia V. (1868 - 1935) was a Galician-Ukrainian politician, author, historian, and one of the co-founders of the Ukrainian RadicalParty, and later - the Ukrainian National-Democratic Party. He would also serve as a delegate to teh Ukrainian National Council of the Western Ukrainian People's Republic as an ambassador to the Austrian Parliament. his current, satirical novel was directed against falsification of elections, bribery of voters, and swindling electoral votes.
