by [College Lafayette]
Boston, Massachusetts: College Lafayette, 1884. Wraps. Good. 8 pages. Printed grey wrappers. Wrappers crudely glued (reglued?) to the text block. Mild overall soiling. Wraps. The brochure notes the school will open August 18, 1884 at 4 Park Square in Boston, Mass. The rear cover notes tuition fees for small classes and private lessons. French, German, Latin, Greek, Italian and Spanish are available. The explanation given for the founding of the school is to encourage Americans to learn these languages, particularly given its expansion and upcoming opportunities overseas such as the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris.
