[Germany]: None identified, 1950. Ephemera no binding. Fine. 9 ¼" wide x 13 ¾" long x 2 ½" high; 80 blocks. An interesting vintage German child's woodblock building toy. The wood case measures 9 ¼" wide x 13 ¾" long x 2 ½" high, and contains a total of 80 blocks. It has dovetailed corners and the sliding top has a color printed label of two boys playing with building blocks. There are two layers of building blocks, 50 blocks of different shapes in the top layer, some with decoration to the wood, and 30 plain various-sized blocks in the bottom layer. No maker is noted on the box, although there is a small logo featuring a block-style castle inside a small oval on the label. Many toys of this type were made in the Erzgebirge region of Germany. The blocks are in fine and unused condition, the box is in fine condition with some wrinkling and small stains on the label. This is a heavy wood toy.
