Overall, an excellent copy. Lew Burdette of the Braves is a biography of the great Boston/Milwaukee Braves pitcher. Burdette got his start as a pitcher for the company baseball team at an American Viscose Rayon plant in his hometown, where he worked along with his father, sister and brother. The highlight of Burdette's career was when he won the World Series MVP in 1957 against the Yankees, winning three complete games in the series, a feat that had not been achieved since 1920. .
