Plastic comb. Heavy card front and back. . Very Good. A Warner's Campaign Book issued for the French market, with movie titles and descriptive text written in French. Oblong, 23 by 31 cm. Unpaginated, 12 (of 14) leaves, promoting 12 films, each movie with a two page spread, with arresting color backdrops and b/w photos from the movies. Movies promoted include "Le Cri de la Victoire" ("Battle Cry")'; "Le Chevalier du Ciel" ("The MacConnell Story"); "Permission Jusqu'a l"Aube" ("Mister Roberts"); "Le Renard des Oceans" ("The Sea Chase"); "A l'Est d'Eden" ("East of Eden"); "L'Allee Sanglante" ("Blood Alley"); "Moby Dick"; "La Peur au Ventre" ("I Died a Thousand Times") -- one page of two missing; "L'Heure la Plus Sombre" ("Hell on Frisco Bay") -- also missing one of two pages; "La Terre des Pharaons" ("Land of the Pharoahs"); "L'Etrange Femme dans la Ville" ("Strange Lady in Town"). We could find no other copies of this studio campaign book, in English or French, but it is possible that in English the equivalent was issued with a different title. Nonetheless, studio campaign books generally are not easy to come by. Missing entirely, both pages, is "Helene de Troie". Other than the two missing leaves, the brochure is in very good or better condition. Light soiling on the cover. (Inventory #: 007081)
