Daily Alta California April 6, 1871, Vol. XXIII., No. 7684.
1871 · San Francisco:
by [California Newspaper].
Large Newspaper sheet, folded twice, 4 pp. some creasing, and staining, minor chips and tears in margins, normal aging; about very good. This newspaper was founded on January 9, 1847, just before the start of the California gold rush, and ceased publication June 2, 1891. The paper appears to cover a nice mix of local and national issues, including the events surrounding the insurgency in France, and a short article on the Ku Klux Bill, which gave the President the right to suspend habeas corpus to battle terrorist groups. Also includes the usual ads. (Inventory #: 106710)
