Kane created many of Batman's other companions and enemies, including Robin, The Joker, Two-Face, Catwoman, Scarecrow, Clayface and Penguin. Batman has been an icon of pop culture since his comic book debut in 1939 and remains relevant today with Robert Pattinson's The Batman in theaters early 2022.
