by Alfieri, Bruno, ed
Milano: Bruno Alfieri, 1967-1968. Lavishly illustrated in b/w & some color. [8] advertising pp. + 278 pp. White boards with dustjacket. 22.6 x 23.6 cm. The fourth volume of this excellent but short-lived publication (1964-1970) on the latest in world architecture. Texts by Alberto Rosselli, Esther McCoy, Giuseppe Mazzariol, Paolo Portoghesi, and Peter RĂ¼dinger, variously in Italian, English, French, and German. More than 25 buildings and projects discussed include Kevin Roche's Oakland Museum in California; Louis Kahn's Salk Institute in La Jollla, California; Robert Venturi's Flug House in Princeton, New Jersey; and Stanley Tigerman's entertaining but demented project for a pair of inverted V-shaped buildings 600 feet wide at the base, over 400 feet tall, and straddling a multi lane freeway. A very fine copy in dustjacket. (Inventory #: 67052)
