spine in six compartments and tooled in gilt. Binding worn and rubbed else very good. Color frontispiece. edgewear. Errata slip present.
When bound, blank pages of graph paper were included, some of which have been used for extensive notes on the book. Pencil corrections (?) on some pages with machine specifications, many notes in a neat hand in French, clearly this book had a previous owner who had significant knowledge of the subject. Tabs have been added by the previous owner on added pages. Added pages include samples of thread each about 1 by 2 inches. Also some fabric swatches. Original photograph of Saladin tipped on to front free end paper.
