New York: Grosset & Dunlap. 1970 (c.1968). Reprint. Hardcover. Very Good+ in Very Good dj. [book is modestly worn at extremities, but still a good sound copy, with the former owner's initials plus date & place of purchase written in ink along edge of rear pastedown (concealed beneath rear jacket flap); the jacket is attractive and quite serviceable, despite considerable edgewear and a fair amount of wrinkling (especially at the corners), and some internal tape reinforcement at the base of the spine]. (B&W photographs) A chronological survey of movie history (well, American movies, primarily), illustrated with "thousands of pictures of the great stars." (They might have added "teeny-tiny" as a descriptor of the photos.) Surprisingly scarce in any hardcover edition, this is actually a reprint of the 1968 G.P. Putnam edition, which itself was an updated version of the original book, first published in 1958. ****NOTE that additional postage charges will be assessed for international shipping of this heavy book; if this concerns you, please contact us for a shipping quote before placing your order.**** .
