Richmond: Richmond Alliance of Asian Americans, 1972. Pamphlet. 12p., bound in 3-ring folder, 9x11.5 inches. Copy previously owned by the Association of Chinese Teachers. Folder edgeworn with small rust marks, date due slip, some fading to text, else very good. Due slip bears the signature of Allan Seid, who founded the Asian Americans for Community Involvement his wife, Mary, in 1973. Makes mention of key touchstones in Chinese American history including the passage of legislation limiting immigration, as well as the various race riots and massacres perpetrated by white laborers. The Richmond Alliance of Asian Americans appears to have been active in the early 1970s, with one East Bay Newspaper making mention of a speaking event they held in November of 1972.
