NY: H.C. Kinsey & Company, Inc., 1942. Nice presentation from Weygandt on the front endpaper: “I am to sign this copy of The Plenty Of Pennsylvania for John M. Fogg Jr., to give to the John M Fogg of my generation, with whom I was associated so pleasantly in alumni’s work. Cornelius Weygandt.” The elder Fogg is probably John M. Fogg, who has 183 photographs, taken between 1955 to 1967. of a variety of arboreta, botanic gardens, plant nurseries, and other assorted gardens throughout the United States and Canada housed at the Smithsonian Institute. Like Weygandt, who was an English Literature professor at the University of Pennsylvania, Fogg [1898-1982] was also a professor of botany for over sixty years at the University of Pennsylvania. He was the director of the Morris Arboretum at the University of Pennsylvania between 1954 and 1967. 8vo., cloth in dust jacket; 319 pages. Illustrated.. Very Good (covers nice; contents clean & tight); little edgewear with a bit more wear head of spine) d/j.
