Larousse aimed to imitate Diderot and d'Alembert in scope with his combination of encylopedia and dictionary, completed in 1876. This edition, one of several re-edited versions, had its contents "arranged systematically" in broad thematic sections (COLLISON, Encyclopaedias: Their History Throughout the Ages p.191). (Inventory #: 58113)
