Solid Early Edition, bound in marbled paper-covered boards with titles in gilt upon gilt-bordered leather spine labels. Illustrated with hundreds of full-page black & white engravings. Text in French. Includes the scarcer volume 8, the "Secret Museum" that deals in erotica. All volumes square and with generally clean interiors save scattered foxing on prelims. Edges, spine ends and tips rubbed and bumped with some loss to spine ends. Some mild scuffing to spines and boards. Still a quite handsome and very collectable set at a great price.
