First edition. 12mo. 72pp. (the last 28pp. of which are advertisements for naturopathic businesses, and ads for the author's and publisher's "American School of Naturopathy" and "L. Lust's Pure Foods Naturopathic Supply Store"). Light blue-green cloth, stamped in gilt on front cover, Owner's early ink inscription on front pastedown, light wear at extremities, else a near fine copy. Louise Lust was the Naturopathic Director of Ladies' Department of "Yungborn," Butler, N. J., and the Naturopathic Institute and Health Home, in New York City. Louise and Benedict Lust are also the author's of three similar self-help titles. Benedict Lust was one of the founders of naturopathic medicine, in 1902 he purchased the rights to the term "naturopathy". He opened the American School of Naturopathy in New York City, the first naturopathic medical school in the world. He also established health resorts (known as "Yungborn") in Butler, New Jersey and Tangerine, Florida. He founded the American Naturopathic Association, the first national professional organization of naturopathic physicians, and in 1918 he published the Universal Naturopathic Encyclopedia for drugless therapy (all according to his wikipedia entry).
