Small broadside (11" by 5.25", verso blank) promoting a lecture by a physician, Dr. Dart, "Upon the Subject of Dirt & Contagion, at the Baptist Church. He will show you what causes Diphtheria, Fevers, and all contagious diseases; that myriads of Organic Germs causing disease are contained in the air we breathe, the water we drink and the soil upon which we tread." A fine example of ephemera promoting public awareness about contagion, public health, and hygiene at the beginning of the twentieth century.
