London: Day & Son, also Thompson & Co., 1857. Complete with 71 full-page chromolithographs of textiles, statues, silver, Wedgewood, furniture, pewter, &c &c. Royal 4to, [vii] unpaginated, all edges gilt; 3/4 vintage red leather gilt (dulled), slight chip at top of spine, marbled endpapers.

A handsome copy overall, created at a time when modern printing processes allowed for accurate colored chromolithographs for all levels of decorative and fine arts, also facsimiles of manuscripts, and related printing. The collection itself began with the 1851 Great Exhibition which eventually got established at Marlborough House after having been a royal residence for 150 years.
