Welcome news; a journal of the new day [three issues]

Los Angeles: Thorwald G. Mauritzen, 1939. Magazine. Three issues of the staplebound little magazine, 6x9 inches, one issue printed on toned paper, otherwise very good. Issues present are vol. 9 (new series) no. 7, and vol. 12 nos. 2 and 6. The last issue is a special devoted largely to Eugene Debs. In addition to the articles by and about Debs, there is an article by farmworker activist Anthony Ramuglia, editor of the United Field Worker; a piece by "The Rebel" titled "How shall we fight Fascism?" (published after the defeat of the Republican side in the Spanish Civil War), and other political pieces - along with such features as "Helper's Column, for (truncated) shut-ins and all who need help and cheer.
