1961 · n.p.
by Sommers, Frederic T.
n.p.: the author, 1961. 57p. plus two pages of notes; 8.5x11 inch mimeographed sheets bound in generic folder with title label. Very good. Not found in OCLC as of September 2022. This apparently never-formally-published paper (unpublished under this title, at least) nevertheless had some influence in the field of computational linguistics; for example, its argument is cited in Robert K. Lindsay's "A heuristic parsing procedure for a language learning program," 1964. Written when Sommers was an assistant professor of philosophy at Columbia University.
