Meads offers the couple marital advice including "Conjugal affection is a delicate plant that cannot thrive under indifference"...Personal neatness is necessary for the wife," "should there appear even disturbances of tempers, she should make allowance for agitation of mind, to which men are more liable"..."Let her leave the control of affairs which properly belong to his sphere, to the husband. yet let him not undervalue her opinion" and much more.
