Vermont Doctor A.G. Dana Gives Recipe Laudanum to Brandon Vermont Merchants 1829
One page letter from Dr. A. (Anderson) G. (Greene) Dana dated Pittsford VT Jan. 22, 1829 to J.N. Bulton Merchants of Brandon Vermont. Tears on folds. The letter gives directions for making Unguentum Cerulean and Laudanum. Dana was a well known Vermont doctor. In 1814 he gave the first public dissection of a corpse using the body of the murderer James Anthony. See McDade 16.
