Martin (1866-1846) was a remarkable woman from Kentucky who authored articles and books for young adults and eventual adult books on social reform She was from Kentucky and was involved in race relations as a leader in a group fighting the lynching of African Americans. She also was active in the in the fight for rights of woman and immigrants.
