Boston: Printed for Samuel Gerrish, 1746. [2], iii, [1], 25, [1] p., [16] leaves of plates followed page [18] pages of music followed by many blank pages used to record business dealings and accounts. Fair condition. Lacking front free endpapers, most of page 13-14 is lacking. Some pages of the printed and manuscript plates are torn with occasional loss.
James Foxon's (1744-1829) name is on the title page, but the book likely passed to Robert Hayden (1735-1822). The manuscript accounts in the rear of the book record shoemaking and repair for much of the 1760's. Foxon can be found listed as shoemaker and evidence in the manuscript accounts point to Hayden also working in the shoe industry. Evans 5878.
