These documents relate to murder of Thomas Bartlett by poisoning with chloroform. His wife Adelaide and her friend the minster Rev. Tyson were prime suspects The charges against Tyson were dropped before the trial in hopes that he would testify against Adelaide. Adelaide was acquitted and shortly after the trial they both vanished. Julian Symons Sweet Adelaide is based the murder.
