William Guldensuppe worked as a masseur at a New York City bathhouse and went missing. Soon parts of a body were found in various places. Guldensuppe lived with Mrs. Augusta Nack, who, when questioned, said she knew nothing about him. It turns out she was having an affair with barber Martin Thorn. Another barber came forward to the police and related that Thorn had confessed to the murder. Nack and Thorn lured Guldensuppe to a cottage they rented on Long Island, and Thorn Shot him and the couple dismembered the body and deposited the piece in various places.

Thorn and Nack were found guilty of murder. Thorn was executed in the electric chair at Sing Sing, and Nack was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
