Education in its Relation to the Physical Health of the Brain. A Discourse Delivered Before the Rode Island Institute of Instruction, October 18, 1850
- Boston: Ticknor, reed, and Fields, 1851
Boston: Ticknor, reed, and Fields, 1851. 52 pp. Fading in spots to the cloth binding-otherwise a very good copy. Ray was the Superintendent of the Butler Hospital for the Insane. His discourse addresses the difficulties of adolescence, and he offers cautionary advice about keeping older children away from evil literature that might inflame their passions. Scarce with copies only at the NY Historical Society Library, the Countway Library, and the British Library.
