Mount Lebanon, NY, 1929. A brief letter from Shepard to A.J. Kohlhofer about surveying the land. Shepard asks for the return of a description of a portion of land being sold by the Shakers. Shepard (1852-1933) was born in England and came to Mt. Lebanon in 1888. He served as Elder of the North Family and was also in the ministry and was very much involved in closing the Shaker communities and selling Shaker property. Good with the usual folds.
