Tipped in after xii is a printed note from July 1935 where Loomis says his later research confirms his earlier work though he has revised his work on Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. Together Loomis and Tolkien have written the definitive work on the subject (truncated) (Oxford University Press, 1947).
