A fine copy of this rare and important fascist photobook. Unlike most of the other photobooks produced as propaganda during Mussolini's rule, this one is modest in size, and is not just an homage to Mussolini. The book is a highly detailed documentation of life in rural Sicily, and according to Parr, could easily be compared to the work of Bernd and Hilla Becher and Ed Ruscha.
