An elaborate work of self promotion for complex orthopedic problems that had no cure or relief at the time. Naumburg, identified as a physician in Erfurt, offers a detailed overview of mechanical solutions for various crippling afflictions of the legs, joints, and feet. He identifies and describes several mechanical systems that were available to help correct dislocations or malformations explaining how one should choose the system appropriate to or a proper "fit" for the individual circumstances. This occupies appx. two thirds of the text. Finally he adds his own observations based on treatment case studies and introduces the reader to two medicinal applications. The first is "Eisengranulir" baths and the second "cubischen Salpeter". OCLC cites 2 American holdings - NLM; Yale. (Inventory #: 22133)
