Kantor for the claim that he had supplied the drugs that began to cause Barbara Hutton's rapid decline, when, in fact, Dr. Kantor was only 14 in 1943. Random House recalled 58,000 copies to be pulped. Each Bookshop was instructed to return the copies or else be liable for a lawsuit from Dr. Kantor's attorney. This copy has the original Western Union Mailgram dated December 20, 1983 laid in from Random House to the Walden Bookshop instructing them for an immediate recall or else they would be subject to any suit for defamation by Dr. Kantor.
