Illustrated with exquisite colour woodcuts printed by Lalau in his atelier, this is one of the finest books of the period. As a book illustrator Lalau is definitely not in the front rank, but somehow with this little book he managed to outdo himself. As copies virtually never appear on the market, the book is practically unknown, and even escaped the attention of Gordon Ray, the pioneer collector of art-deco books in America. One of only 110 copies.
