Attacks Robert Minor for his change of positions on anarchism, offering quotes from before and after his conversion to Bolshevism. The author, whose original name was Shmuel Marcus, went by many pseudonyms; he claimed to be a native of Montreal, but when the United States attempted to deport him to Canada around the time of the Palmer Raids, Canada refused on the grounds that there was no actual evidence of his Canadian citizenship. Other attempts to deport him to Mexico and the Soviet Union were also (truncated) rebuffed. This pamphlet touches on one of the pivotal questions for anarchism in the early 20th century - how to respond to the establishment of the Soviet Union, and the betrayal some felt over the allegiance of former anarchists to the new state. The author went on to edit the newspaper Man!, one of the most important American anarchist publications of the 1930s. (Inventory #: 297796)
