New Delhi: Bureau of Public Information of the Government of India, 1945. Magazine. Fifty-six issues of the fortnightly staplebound magazine published by the British colonial government of India, various formats, most issues here 8.5x13 or 9.5x13 inches. Some have the original recipient's brief notes at top of cover, stating the source or offering editorial comments such as "British war propaganda." Otherwise some issues with crinkled corners or edges from mailing, but generally very good. Later issues have many black and white photos. Whole numbers present are 42, 52-57, 59-62, 64, 66-70, 71-76, 78-80, 82-89, 93-110, 128, 142, 148, and 168 (this issue celebrating victory over Japan). Also included is the index to volume VII (July-December 1940). These issues span World War II and focus to a large extent on India's contributions to the Allies' cause in the war.
