Philadelphia: Macrae Smith Company. Very Good+ in Very Good- dj. 1935. First Edition. Hardcover. [minor shelfwear to book, "Lauderdale's" rubber-stamped on front endpaper and rear pastedown; the jacket is quite decent-looking, despite some staining to the spine panel, modest shelfwear and minor paper loss along the bottom edge, and a weird patching job, with the top inch-and-a-half of the spine panel missing but replaced NOT with a photocopy of that section of the spine panel but rather a photocopy of the spine of the book, which is not even the same color as the covers of this book; it does, however, show the title and the author's name, so it's not unpleasing -- just weird]. "A swiftly-paced story of the Cattle country which centers around the struggle of a group of ranchers to safeguard their water rights from confiscation at the hands of a powerful State Senator and his corrupt political allies." And of course the hero fighting the good fight also happens to be engaged to the Senator's favorite niece. .
