A fine copy, with original order form laid into book, protected by custom protective cloth folder. Original prospectus for an unpublished book, variant issue, limited to 850 numbered copies [this is copy "183," and registered in the name of "Mr. and Mrs. G. M. Greenwood"; also seen with limitations of 150 numbered copies, 750 numbered (truncated) copies, and 2500 numbered copies]. This prospectus, in addition to reproducing the Edward Weston photographs, prints information about the projected book, including format, statements by scholars who stress the need for such a book, a list of sponsors, etc. Despite the professional nature of the project, and this attractive prospectus, response must have been inadequate, as the book was never published.
