A guide to the island of Madeira, focused on the several hotels owned by the Reids (Carmo, Hortas, Santa Clara, Royal Edinburgh, Reid's New Hotel, Sant Anna). A list of their guests includes several HRHs, Earls, Lords, Viscounts, Admirals, Colonels, Counts, Barons, Marquises, parliamentarians, specifically the Comtesse Diodati, Sir Richard Burton, Major Wissmann, and W.K. Vandebilt. Several pages include revisions, pasted down to leaves, such as specific steamer schedules. Browning to a few pages. Ink ownership inscription to preliminary blank; and a few ink annotations to margins.
