Stan Musial (1920-2013) was a Major League baseball player, playing first base and outfield for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1941-1944 and 1946-1963. He is considered one of the most reliable hitters in baseball history, being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1969. During his tenure with the Cardinals, he was named the league MVP three times and helped lead the team to three World Series pennants. In 2011, Musial was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom. He passed away in 2013.
